As a Forward Deployed Engineer you will be at the forefront of bringing cutting‑edge AI solutions to our most strategic clients. This role requires deep technical expertise, the ability to translate customer needs into robust production systems, and a passion for driving innovation on the Salesforce platform.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the end‑to‑end technical delivery of complex AI solutions – personally write critical code, configure systems, and troubleshoot issues while guiding and reviewing junior team members.
- Build Transformative AI Solutions – take primary ownership of designing, developing, and personally implementing high‑quality, scalable production systems, including LLM‑based intelligent agents and automated workflows on the Salesforce platform.
- Engineer Bespoke Agentic AI Solutions – work directly with customers to design and build custom intelligent agents, ensuring they meet unique business requirements and integrate seamlessly with existing ecosystems.
- Own Data Configuration & Integration – manage the full data lifecycle, from strategic data‑model design to building efficient processing pipelines and integration strategies, ensuring data is ready, optimized, and secure for advanced AI applications.
- Proactively Remove Technical Blockers – identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical challenges throughout solution delivery, serving as the go‑to expert for unblocking progress.
- Drive Agentforce Innovation – become a foremost expert in the Agentforce platform, lead the development of bespoke intelligent agents, automate business processes, and influence future product enhancements.
- Act as a Trusted Strategic Partner – embed deeply with client teams to understand operational challenges, translate needs into technical requirements, and lead technical discussions.
- Conduct Deep‑Dive Technical Debugging & Root Cause Analysis – perform detailed analysis, debugging, and root cause identification for complex system interactions and AI model behaviors.
- Lead Rapid Prototyping & Iteration – quickly develop proofs‑of‑concept and minimum viable products, coding alongside client teams to demonstrate capabilities and gather feedback.
- Implement & Enforce Best Practices – evangelize engineering best practices for code quality, scalability, security, and maintainability across all deployed solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in end‑to‑end delivery of high‑quality, scalable production solutions in a professional environment.
- Strong background in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
- Expert‑level proficiency in one or more programming languages (JavaScript, Java, Python, Apex).
- Extensive hands‑on experience building and deploying AI/LLM solutions, including LLM integration, advanced AI orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex), prompt engineering, and agentic frameworks.
- Deep expertise in data modeling, processing, integration, and analytics with enterprise data platforms (Salesforce Data Cloud, Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery).
- Significant direct experience with the Salesforce platform, including advanced configuration, customization, and complex development.
- Demonstrated entrepreneurship, a “get‑things‑done” attitude, and a focus on fast, impactful delivery; proven ability to lead technical initiatives.
- Exceptional collaboration, communication, and presentation skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead technical engagements, mentor junior team members, and oversee technical aspects of projects.
- Ability to travel up to 60% of the time, as needed to customer sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive experience with Salesforce Data Cloud and/or Agentforce platform.
- Experience developing and deploying conversational AI solutions within highly regulated industries.
- Expert‑level experience with Apex and/or Python coding languages in a professional setting.
- Prior experience in a customer‑facing, hands‑on technical lead or architect role.
- Advanced Salesforce platform certifications (Platform Developer II, Application Architect, System Architect).
- Deep knowledge across Salesforce CRM (Service, Sales, and Marketing Clouds).
- Extensive experience with Salesforce Flows and Lightning Web Components (LWC), including complex custom development.
- Experience contributing to open‑source AI frameworks or libraries.
