The Role
To contribute to the development of new technologies and products within the Industrial, Consumer and Healthcare sectors. Working as part of a project team to solve a wide variety of engineering challenges, develop innovative new products, and create value for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribution to the design and development of products, prototypes and test equipment. This may include (depending on skills and project requirements): designing using CAD tools, specifying components or building and commissioning prototypes.
- Technical analysis as appropriate (e.g. structural, thermal or fluidic calculations, tolerance analysis…) using hand calculations and tools such as Microsoft Excel, finite element analysis, MATLAB, Python.
- Defining and running experiments and rigorous testing, e.g. to evaluate prototypes, and analysing and reporting on the results.
- Researching technologies, processes and techniques to inform design decisions and support problem analyses.
- Contributing to creative problem solutions.
- Working with multidisciplinary teams to take products from initial concept through to delivery / transfer to manufacture.
- Communicating with suppliers and clients.

- Educated to degree level in a relevant technical subject.

- Ability to apply scientific/engineering principles and creativity across a wide variety of problems.

- Able to work independently with some direction and supervision.
- The ability to participate as part of a creative multi‑disciplinary team on a wide range of problems.

- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to explain technical work to colleagues and clients.
