Salt Recruitment's Local Government contract team is currently supporting a West Midlands-based Local Authority in their search for an experienced Lead Reporting and Data Analyst. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a crucial role in overseeing statutory reporting for Children's Social Care, ensuring data accuracy, and leading a team of three Data Analysts.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the design and maintenance of statutory and operational reporting for Children's Social Care
- Manage and mentor a team of three Data Analysts, ensuring high-quality data outputs
- Provide technical leadership in data warehousing, SQL scripting, and reporting
- Develop Power BI dashboards and SSRS reports to support operational decision-making
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with GDPR and other regulations
- Work closely with Children's Services, Business Systems Analysts (Mosaic), and other departments to align reporting with service needs
- Champion the use of agile methodologies within the team to improve efficiency
- Proven experience in statutory reporting for Children's Social Care
- Strong knowledge of data warehouse architecture and SQL scripting
- Hands-on experience with Power BI dashboards and SSRS reporting
- Familiarity with Children's Social Care case management systems (ideally Mosaic)
- Previous experience managing a team of Data Analysts or similar roles
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to lead on BI and reporting solutions to drive service improvement
