We are currently looking for a Senior Vehicle Technician. You will be working in Barnsley, Monday to Friday, 08:00am - 16:00pm. This is a temporary contract - ongoing, with a pay rate of £28.95ph umbrella.
Job Purpose
- To undertake and supervise servicing and repairs of vehicles, plant, and associated equipment to an acceptable standard and in an efficient and cost-effective manner with the minimum of downtime.
- To act as Authorised Examiner Delegated Manager, manage and prepare vehicles for MOT/HGV tests.
- Responsible for management of a team of employees, ensuring skills and capabilities match the business needs and providing direction and coordination, support, guidance, dealing with recruitment, motivation, training, welfare and discipline issues as appropriate.
- Accountable for all aspects of the municipal maintenance function, including maintenance planning, quality control, equipment maintenance and training.
