Our local authority client based in Hertfordshireare urgently seeking an experiencedLearning & Development Administration Officer.

Purpose of the Role

To deliver an effective, efficient, and customer-focused administrative service that supports the implementation of the Learning & Development strategy, enabling the organisation to meet its service objectives and KPIs.


Key Responsibilities

Learning Management System (Oracle Learn):

Manage learning events, delegate bookings, and pre/post-course administration using Oracle as the organisations LMS.

Maintain accurate records of learning activities and ensure timely updates to the system. Support reporting and data extraction to monitor engagement and performance.

Administrative Support: Provide a full range of administrative services including meeting coordination, minute-taking, agenda preparation, and follow-up actions. Handle written, verbal, and electronic correspondence professionally and promptly.

Undertake desktop research to support management responses and reporting.

Customer Service & Communications

Act as the first point of contact for learning enquiries, bookings, and support requests.

Deliver a professional front-of-house service for internal and external visitors.

Support the digital presence of Learning & Development through clear and engaging communications that promote a learning culture.

Data & Financial Management

Maintain and develop management information systems to ensure accurate data tracking and reporting.

Input and retrieve financial data including invoices, purchase orders, petty cash, card payments, and P-card transactions.

Contribute to income and expenditure reporting using Action for Childrens corporate systems.

Digital Proficiency

Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) for data management, reporting, and presentations.

Support the creation of high-quality written and financial reports consistent with organisational standards.
