We are looking for an experienced and reliable Automotive Mechanic to join our client team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent diagnostic abilities, and proven experience in repairing and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to manufacturer standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle maintenance, servicing, and mechanical repairs;
  • Diagnose malfunctions using professional diagnostic tools and equipment;
  • Conduct engine and gearbox overhauls, clutch and flywheel replacements;
  • Repair hydraulic, electric, and hydro-electric steering systems;
  • Inspect, repair, and program ECUs and electrical wiring systems;
  • Carry out MOT preparation, safety checks, and quality inspections;
  • Ensure all work meets factory guidelines and manufacturer specifications;
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair needs and solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a vehicle technician or mechanic;
  • Strong skills in automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting;
  • Experience with multiple diagnostic systems (Tech2, VAG, Texa, Launch, Snap-on, etc.);
  • Ability to work on a variety of vehicles including cars, vans, and light trucks;
  • Knowledge of engine rebuilds, steering systems, suspension, brakes, and electrical repair;
  • IMI Level 3 Light Vehicle Inspection Technician (preferred);
  • MOT testing qualification (Classes 4 & 7) is an advantage;
  • Good communication skills and ability to explain technical issues;
  • Full clean driving licence.
