My client is looking for an ambitious Account Manager to join their growing team in Swindon, supporting clients across the Defence, Aerospace and Technology sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for someone educated to degree level with 2 to 3 years’ experience within Account Management, B2B Sales, Business Development or Technical Sales who wants genuine career progression, industry exposure and the chance to work within cutting edge sectors shaping the future of UK engineering and technology.
You’ll work closely with innovative engineering and technology businesses, helping build commercial relationships, generate opportunities and support growth across complex supply chains. This business offers clear progression opportunities, including a pathway into Senior Account Manager level, alongside the opportunity to develop valuable commercial and industry experience within a highly specialised and fast growing market.
The Role
- Manage and develop client accounts
- Support business development and lead generation activity
- Build relationships with clients and industry partners
- Attend networking events, exhibitions and client meetings
- Conduct market and competitor research
- Maintain CRM records using HubSpot
- Support strategic sales and campaign activity
The role includes regular networking events, exhibitions and client meetings, with travel expected approximately 1 to 2 days per week.
Requirements
- Degree educated or equivalent commercial experience
- 2 to 3 years’ experience within Account Management, B2B Sales, Business Development or Technical Sales
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Commercially minded and proactive approach
- Experience using CRM systems
- Interest in Defence, Aerospace, Engineering or Technology sectors
- British citizenship required
- Eligible to pass BPSS security clearance
