Clinical Education Specialist – CRRT / Critical Care

Location: London & South of England | Home / Field Based
Salary: Β£50,000 + Β£9,000 Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Are you an experienced Intensive Care Nurse with hands-on CRRT experience who enjoys training and supporting other healthcare professionals?

We are working with a growing international medical technology company specialising in Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) and acute blood purification.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Critical Care Nurse to move into a field-based Clinical Education Specialist role, using their clinical knowledge to train and support hospital teams in the use of specialist medical equipment.

You'll remain closely connected to clinical practice and patient care, but rather than working regular hospital shifts, you'll be visiting hospitals, delivering training and helping healthcare professionals get the best from the equipment they use.

The Role

As a Clinical Education Specialist, you'll be responsible for providing clinical education, training and ongoing support to hospital teams using specialist CRRT equipment and associated products.

Working primarily across London and the South of England, you'll build relationships with nurses, consultants and other healthcare professionals, becoming a trusted clinical resource.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering practical demonstrations, clinical education and training on CRRT equipment and associated products.

  • Supporting ICU and Critical Care teams during equipment trials, installation and implementation.

  • Planning and delivering clinical study days, classroom training and hands-on education sessions.

  • Providing ongoing clinical support to existing hospital customers and newly established accounts.

  • Building strong relationships with nurses, physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

  • Working alongside the commercial team to identify opportunities for additional equipment and consumables.

  • Attending clinical meetings, exhibitions and educational events.

  • Participating in a scheduled 24-hour clinical support rota, including some weekends and bank holidays.

  • Occasional international travel to support clinical teams and distributors.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Registered Nurse qualification with a nursing degree.

  • A minimum of two years' experience in Intensive Care / ITU.

  • Hands-on experience and a good working knowledge of CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy).

  • Experience teaching, mentoring or supporting other healthcare professionals in a clinical setting.

  • Confidence delivering presentations, practical demonstrations and group training sessions.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with healthcare professionals at all levels.

  • The ability to work independently and manage a field-based schedule.

  • A willingness to travel extensively across London and the South of England, with occasional overseas travel.

Previous experience as a Clinical Educator, Practice Development Nurse, Clinical Nurse Specialist or Medical Device Clinical Specialist would be particularly relevant.

However, you don't need to have worked in the medical device industry before. If you're an experienced ICU Nurse with strong CRRT knowledge and a genuine interest in clinical education, we'd love to hear from you.

Salary & Benefits

  • Β£50,000 basic salary
  • Β£9,000 annual car allowance (Β£750 per month)

  • 10% target bonus
  • Β£300 pager allowance following completion of probation and training (payment frequency to be confirmed)

  • BUPA private healthcare
  • Dental cover
  • 6% employer pension contribution
  • Maternity benefits

  • Full product and equipment training

Why Consider This Opportunity?

If you enjoy the clinical and educational side of nursing but are looking for a different career direction, this could be a great opportunity.

You'll be joining a growing medical technology business, working with specialist equipment used in Critical Care and helping hospital teams deliver effective treatment to patients who need it most.

It's a chance to build a long-term career in the medical technology sector while continuing to use the clinical knowledge and experience you've worked hard to develop.

Interested?

If you're a Registered Nurse with Intensive Care and CRRT experience and would like to explore a career in clinical education within the medical technology sector, we'd love to hear from you.
