Deliver the Infrastructure Behind a Major Hyperscale Data Centre
We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major infrastructure package on a hyperscale data centre development in Chippenham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a technically advanced, engineering led project where you'll oversee the delivery of critical infrastructure that will support multiple data halls and the wider campus. From enabling works and below ground utilities through to reinforced concrete structures and technical coordination, you'll play a key role in bringing this mission critical development to life.
The Role
As Project Manager, you'll take full responsibility for the safe, compliant and commercially successful delivery of a complex infrastructure package, ensuring projects are delivered on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with Design, Commercial and Construction teams, you'll lead multidisciplinary project teams while managing technical coordination, stakeholder relationships, commercial performance and programme delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the delivery of major infrastructure works supporting a hyperscale data centre development.
- Managing earthworks, cut and fill operations, piling, foundations, drainage, attenuation systems and utility installations.
- Overseeing reinforced concrete foundations, HV and MV infrastructure, underground services and technical coordination.
- Managing project budgets, forecasting, programme delivery and commercial performance.
- Coordinating design development, statutory approvals and consultant teams.
- Leading subcontractors and maintaining strong relationships with clients, utility providers and key stakeholders.
- Driving health and safety, quality assurance and right first time delivery across the project.
We're Looking for Someone Who Has:
- Proven experience managing major construction or infrastructure projects as a main contractor.
- Strong knowledge of earthworks, piling, foundations, drainage, utilities, roads and external works.
- Experience managing commercial performance, forecasting, programme delivery and cost control.
- A good working knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
- A strong understanding of design and build project delivery.
- Experience within data centres or other mission critical construction environments would be highly advantageous.
