My client is a specialist design and build contractor delivering major projects across the data centre, defence and energy sectors. They are recognised for delivering high quality, technically demanding projects where collaboration, safety and attention to detail are at the heart of everything they do.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Senior Site Manager to lead construction activities on a flagship hyperscale data centre development in West London, with opportunities to support future projects across their expanding portfolio.
The Opportunity
This is a genuine leadership role where you'll take responsibility for the day to day delivery of major construction works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, to specification and in line with commercial objectives.
You'll lead Site Managers, Assistant Site Managers and subcontractors, coordinating multiple work fronts while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and productivity.
Working closely with Project Managers, clients and consultants, you'll monitor programme performance, manage quality and compliance, resolve issues quickly and ensure the project is delivered to the exceptional standards expected by both the client and end user.
You'll also play a key role in developing your site teams, promoting a positive safety culture and driving continuous improvement across the project.
We're Looking for Someone Who Has
- Significant experience leading site operations on complex construction projects.
- A strong background working for a main contractor.
- Experience managing Site Managers, Assistant Site Managers and subcontractors.
- A thorough understanding of construction methodology, sequencing and programme delivery.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance, inspection processes and health and safety management.
- Experience delivering projects within data centres, mission critical, defence, energy, industrial or other technically complex construction environments would be highly desirable.
- A CSCS Manager Card, with a construction-related HNC, Degree or equivalent qualification.
Above all, we're looking for someone who leads by example, builds strong relationships and takes pride in delivering projects to the highest possible standard.
