The Role
Role Purpose: To provide support to the course instructors for various training courses, including but not limited to diving, in‑water support, fire support and maintenance support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides support for the instruction, demonstration and examination/assessment of individuals/groups of delegates for specified course programmes and timetables.
- Maintains an up‑to‑date knowledge of current health and safety legislation and procedures.
- Always maintains a high standard of appearance, wearing company‑provided clothing/PPE as required, positively reflecting the company’s image.
- The job holder is expected to be flexible and undertake additional duties commensurate with the overall responsibilities of the job, and that are within their competence, when required.
- The job holder will undertake all activities in compliance with the requirements of the company’s and/or the client’s safety management systems (SMS).

Person Specification:
- Diving qualification and valid dive medical.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to be diplomatic.
- Well‑developed communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and with a wide variety of people e.g., staff, clients, delegates.
- Working knowledge of office IT systems including MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Demonstrates a clear commitment to providing first class customer care.
- Highly organised.
- Takes a flexible approach to work activities to meet customer requirements.
- Ability to work on own initiative with little supervision.
- Ability to remain calm and assertive during busy periods or when dealing with challenging situations.
- Discreet with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Previous experience working within a training environment.
- National Pool Lifeguard Qualification or equivalent advantageous but not essential.
The working hours for this role are 7.30am to 4.15pm, Monday to Friday. Each working day includes an unpaid lunch break of 45 minutes.
