3t is currently looking to recruit a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst on a permanent contract in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England, UK.

This role is contracted at 40 hours per week. We offer semi‑flexible working hours, with shifts available between 7:30am and 6:00pm (Monday‑Friday), including a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break.
The Role
Role Purpose: The FP&A Analyst will support the Group FP&A Manager in delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting across the Group. The role will help drive informed decision‑making by providing high-quality financial and operational insight to senior leadership and board stakeholders. The successful candidate will gain exposure to commercial finance, performance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement within a fast‑paced and growing business environment. Based primarily at the Group’s Digital Office in Newcastle, the role offers a hybrid working environment (minimum 3 days/week in the office) alongside significant opportunity for professional development and career progression within the finance function.
Scope:
- Support and preparation of reporting and analysis across UK business units within the Group. This includes our Digital, Drilling Systems and Training businesses.
- Progression to ownership of the reporting for our Digital and Drilling Systems business.
- Works closely with operational and finance stakeholders across the organisation.
- Exposure to senior leadership and board‑level reporting.
- Opportunity to support process improvement and reporting automation initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Group FP&A Manager with the following duties and responsibilities:
- Progress to ownership of the monthly management reporting for Drilling Systems, Digital and Head Office. Discussing the results with the Divisional VP and Senior Finance Manager, ensuring that any commentary is accurate and incisive.
- Maintaining a rolling forecast for the above Divisions.
- Preparing the annual budget for the above Divisions.
- Assisting the Divisional VP in preparing commercial reviews and helping to formulate profit and cash improvement plans where appropriate.
- Supporting the Group FP&A manager with the above duties and responsibilities for our larger UK training business.

- Part‑Qualified accountant, studying towards a professional qualification (CIMA preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft office packages, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience using PowerBI and/or PowerQuery preferred.
- Cloud based accounting software experience preferred.
- Ability to manage own workload and balance priorities against the needs of the business.
- Skilled at creating engaging and informative PowerPoint presentations that deliver key messages in a clear and concise manner.
- Highly numerate and analytical with a good attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to be diplomatic and to challenge more senior managers when necessary, in a respectful way.
