3t is currently looking to recruit a Skills Instructor on a permanent contract located in Aberdeen, UK.

3t Training Services is the UK’s largest and leading provider of training for the oil and gas, wind, and power industries, and a major player globally, whilst also making a significant impact on the wider and utilities sectors including gas, electric, and water.

The Role

To instruct, examine and assess delegates on various training courses, including but not limited to courses within the following disciplines; HSE, Lifting operations, Forklift Operations & Working at height. This role will involve predominately delivering training onsite at client premises locally, however some in centre cover or nationwide travel may be required. There may also be opportunities for internal and/or offshore travel.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide instruction, demonstration and examination/assessment of individuals/groups of delegates for specified course programmes and timetables
  • Verify & provide relevant examination paperwork after each course
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation and procedures
  • Develop and update training materials, ensuring compliance with current HSE guidelines
  • Undertake additional duties as requested by the Skills Team Leader

You will have:

Essential

  • A full UK Driving Licence
  • Previous experience in a Instructor/Assessor role
  • Relevant qualifications/previous work experience in the disciplines being delivered (lifting operations/forklift operations/HSE/Working At Height)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to be diplomatic
  • Well-developed communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and with a wide variety of people e.g., staff, clients, delegates
  • Proficient working knowledge of office IT systems including MS Outlook, Word and Excel
  • A professional appearance which appropriately reflects the role and the Company’s image
  • A highly organised but flexible approach to work activities
  • The ability to remain calm and assertive during busy periods or when dealing with challenging situations

Preferred

  • A recognised assessor qualification (E.g. SQA 9DI/OPITO Competence Assessor)
  • RTITB Instructor Qualification

Advantageous

  • A recognised teaching qualification (Level 3 award in education & training)
  • Water Jetting experience

Pay: £38,977.00-£46,773.00 per year
