3Sixty Talent Management are recruiting for a Procurement Assistant to join an established and growing business based in Bedford. This is a great opportunity for someone with procurement, purchasing or strong administrative experience who enjoys working in a busy, varied environment and wants the opportunity to develop their career within procurement.
You will work closely with the Procurement Manager, Project Managers, suppliers, subcontractors and accounts, helping to keep purchasing activity running smoothly across a range of projects.
The Role
As Procurement Assistant, you will support the day-to-day purchasing requirements of the business, from raising purchase orders and obtaining quotes through to managing deliveries, supplier onboarding and invoice queries.
Key responsibilities include:
- Raising and processing purchase orders for materials, plant hire, subcontractors and other project requirements
- Ensuring purchase orders contain accurate job numbers, cost centres, delivery details and supporting information
- Obtaining supplier quotations and placing orders in line with project requirements
- Working with Project Managers to understand purchasing requirements
- Supporting the onboarding of new suppliers and subcontractors
- Ensuring subcontractor purchase orders are in place before work begins
- Monitoring outstanding orders, deliveries and plant hire arrangements
- Liaising with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, deliveries and queries
- Reviewing hire and subcontractor invoices and resolving discrepancies
- Maintaining accurate purchasing, supplier and invoice records
- Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams
