We are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Valeter / Yard Operative to join a busy and well-established business based in Barton-le-Clay. This is a varied, hands-on role working with vehicles before they are dispatched to customers. You will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are clean, presentable and ready for delivery, as well as supporting the day-to-day running of the yard.
The Role
- Washing and cleaning vehicles ready for dispatch
- Cleaning vehicle interiors to a high standard
- Preparing vehicles for customer delivery
- Booking vehicles in when they arrive on site
- Booking vehicles out when they are ready for delivery
- Moving vehicles safely around the yard
- Maintaining vehicle batteries
- Collecting parts from local suppliers when required
- Keeping the workshop and yard clean, tidy and organised
- Carrying out general yard and vehicle preparation duties
- Supporting the wider team with other reasonable duties as required
About You
We are looking for someone who is reliable, practical and takes pride in their work. You will ideally:
- Take pride in keeping vehicles clean and presentable
- Be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Be physically fit and comfortable with lifting and carrying
MUST HAVE DRIVING LICENCE
Previous experience in vehicle valeting, vehicle preparation, yard work, logistics or a similar hands-on environment would be beneficial, but the right attitude and work ethic are equally important.
