We are recruiting on behalf of a successful global company for an experienced Building Maintenance / Site Maintenance Operative to join their site engineering team on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on role involving planned and reactive maintenance across the site, ensuring buildings and facilities are maintained to a high standard within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Duties
- Planned and reactive building maintenance
- Painting, decorating, carpentry, plumbing, and basic electrical work
- Hanging doors, fitting locks, sealing joints, plastering, and concrete repairs
- Roofing, guttering, barriers, and yard repairs
- Drain maintenance and general site services
- Use of hand and power tools
- Completing maintenance reports and job logging
- Ability to undertake heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, work at heights and to be able to negotiate flights of stairs in multi-storey blocks of varying levels
- Supporting the engineering department and contractors when required
- Working in line with GMP, COSHH, Risk Assessments, and Health & Safety procedures
Requirements
- City & Guilds or equivalent in Building Maintenance / Construction
- Previous building maintenance or construction experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Good understanding of Health & Safety best practices
- Ability to work at height and carry out physical duties
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
