£37,000 – £43,000 per year , depending on experience ?
Monday to Thursday 8am – 5pm ?
Friday 8am – 2.30pm

This is a genuine
CNC programming position , so we're looking for someone who can confidently program, set and operate CNC turning machines rather than simply operate pre-written programs. You'll be responsible for producing precision components from engineering drawings, programming machines from scratch, setting tooling and cutting conditions, and making adjustments to achieve the required quality and specification. What we're looking for
You'll need: Proven experience programming, setting and operating
2-axis CNC turning machines The ability to write new CNC programs from scratch / long-hand at the machine Strong knowledge of
G-code Experience setting machines from engineering drawing through to finished component Good understanding of tooling, speeds, feeds and cutting conditions Ability to edit and optimise existing programs Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances and surface finishes Experience with one-off and low-to-medium volume precision components Experience working with a range of hard and soft metals A quality-focused and self-motivated approach Ability to work confidently with minimal supervision Fanuc controls and Fanuc Manual Guide i experience would be advantageous.
