3Sixty Talent Management are recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner / Programmer to join a well-established precision engineering business. This is a CNC programming role, not a setter/operator-only position. You must be confident writing new CNC turning programmes from scratch at the machine, as well as setting and operating with minimal supervision.
The Role
- Working on an established late shift, you'll benefit from a four-day working week, with every Friday off.
- Shift times:
- Monday to Wednesday: 4.30pm - 3.30am
- Thursday: 4.30pm - 1.00am
- Friday: Day off
- You'll be responsible for taking components from engineering drawing through to finished product, including programming, setting, tooling, machining and inspection.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience programming, setting and operating 2-axis CNC turning machines
- Able to write new CNC programmes from scratch/long-hand at the machine
- Strong working knowledge of G-code programming
- Confident completing full machine set-ups from engineering drawing to finished component
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, surface finishes and inspection
- Experience producing one-off and low-to-medium volume precision components
- Experience working with a range of hard and soft metals
- Able to edit and optimise existing programmes
- Quality-focused, self-motivated and comfortable working with minimal supervision
Desirable
- Experience with Fanuc controls
- Fanuc Manual Guide i experience
