3Sixty Talent Management is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected sheet metal engineering company based in Letchworth. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sheet Metal Welder / Fabricator to join a skilled and supportive production team, working on a variety of prototype and low-volume manufacturing projects for globally recognised customers across multiple industries.
Salary: £35,360 - £45,760 (depending on experience) + Overtime + Bonus Scheme

The Role: As a Sheet Metal Welder / Fabricator, you'll be responsible for producing high-quality fabricated components for both prototype and low-volume production work. You'll work from detailed engineering drawings to manufacture precision parts that meet exact customer specifications.
Your Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components
- Carry out high-quality TIG and MIG welding
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Operate press brakes, laser cutting equipment, and fabrication machinery
- Work with stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel
- Ensure work meets strict quality standards, including ISO 9001 and AS9100
What We're Looking For: We're looking for someone with a strong background in sheet metal fabrication who enjoys producing precision work to the highest standards.
- Proven experience in thin gauge TIG and MIG welding
- Sheet metal fabrication experience
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Desirable Skills:
- Experience within prototype or low-volume manufacturing
- Knowledge of laser cutting or CNC machinery
- Understanding of tight tolerance manufacturing and inspection processes
- City & Guilds qualifications in Welding & Fabrication or an Engineering Apprenticeship (advantageous)
