A well-established and growing Residential Conveyancing firm based in Milton Keynes is looking to recruit an experienced Conveyancer to manage a caseload of residential property matters from instruction through to completion. This role would suit a proactive conveyancer who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is keen to develop professionally within a forward-thinking firm.
The Role
- You will be responsible for handling your own conveyancing caseload while delivering a high standard of client care and ensuring compliance with regulatory and lender requirements.
- You will also work closely with colleagues to support team growth and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a full residential conveyancing caseload from start to finish
- Conducting fee-earning work in line with company procedures, CLC regulations, and Lender Handbooks
- Meeting exchange, completion, and billing targets
- Handling files professionally and always in the best interests of clients
- Dealing with enquiries, reviewing searches, and reporting on title (freehold and leasehold)
- Drafting, reviewing, and agreeing contracts
- Taking client instructions and providing clear legal advice
- Managing all financial aspects of transactions
- Exchanging contracts and completing matters
- Handling leasehold matters, including reviewing leases and managing post-completion requirements
- Preparing and submitting post-completion documentation
- Ensuring strict compliance with AML, GDPR, and internal procedures
- Using case management systems and other legal technology platforms
- Supporting junior team members through training and guidance
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with introducers and referrers
- Attending meetings, training, and events as required
About You
- Previous experience working as a Conveyancer in a residential property environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, organised, and able to work under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a team
- Relevant legal qualification is advantageous but not essential if you have suitable experience
- Confident using case management systems and legal technology
- Willing to support team development and ongoing training
