In a nutshell… Our client is a global leader in the maintenance, service & repair to a wide range of engines and components within the Marine Industry. With a global footprint in over a dozen countries from the EU to an International stage they are now looking to expand their team with an additional Engineer to join an exciting company offering a wide range of global travel.
Working within an established team you will play a pivotal role in being a Workshop Engineer carrying out servicing, maintenance and repair work on industrial marine equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background in Plant, Marine or HGV Machinery.
What’s involved for the Workshop Service Engineer…
- Carry out maintenance and repair on a wide range of commercial equipment
- Carry out refurbishments and repair to a wide range of industry specific motors of all sizes
- Deal with all mechanical and electrical work on a range of marine engines
- Workshop based with potential EU and International travel
What you’ll need…
- 1 year’s minimum experience within a marine engineering environment
- 3 -5 years’ experience working with Plant, Marine or HGV Machinery
- Working with MAN, VOLVO, ABB or Cummins is desirable
- Ability to interpret technical information and be a problem solver reducing downtime
- Work under own self-esteem and part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate at all levels
- Good written and verbal communication skills
