In a nutshell… Our client is looking for a proactive Procurement and Stock Coordinator to support their supply chain operations and field service teams. This role involves purchasing materials, managing inventory, and ensuring that both field engineers and clients receive the parts they need - on time, every time.
You will be the go-to person for stock control, supplier management, and coordinating logistics for van stock and direct shipments. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with purchasing and inventory experience looking to play a key role in a busy, hands-on environment.
What’s involved for the Procurement and Stock Coordinator…
- Raise and manage purchase orders in line with internal procedures
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers
- Monitor stock levels and replenish parts and equipment
- Ensure engineers' vans are stocked and ready for service calls
- Organise and dispatch parts directly to engineer and client addresses
- Conduct stock checks and investigate variances
- Maintain accurate inventory records using stock management software
- Liaise with engineers, service controllers and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations
- Produce regular reports on purchasing and stock levels
- Support cost-saving and efficiency initiatives
What you’ll need…
- Background in procurement, inventory, or supply chain coordination
- Experience working with stock control systems
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisation skills
- Confidence working with both internal teams and external suppliers
- Good computer literacy (Microsoft, ERP/stock systems etc)
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and work to deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
