Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Technical Services Manager (Power Systems) to join their team. The role will focus on delivering technical solutions, supporting customers, managing projects from enquiry through to completion, and contributing to the ongoing development of their power systems services.
What's involved for the Technical Services Manager (Power Systems)…
- Act as the technical and commercial lead for PFC, AHF, and power systems enquiries
- Produce quotations for standard and complex technical solutions
- Interpret customer specifications and design requirements, including multi-system solutions
- Assess load data and electricity bills to determine Power Factor Correction requirements
- Apply PQ standards (e.g. G5/5, EN50160) to identify and define solutions
- Produce and review power quality and harmonic reports with clear recommendations
- Provide technical support to engineers and assist with pricing decisions
- Carry out site surveys, monitoring, and technical assessments
- Manage procurement of equipment and liaise with suppliers on delivery timelines
- Maintain stock levels and ensure calibration and PAT schedules are met
- Ensure compliance with H&S processes, including RAMS and Safe Contractor requirements
- Conduct contract reviews, margin checks, and support invoicing preparation
- Liaise with internal engineering teams for switchboard design integration
- Identify new suppliers, technologies, and market opportunities
What you'll need…
- Strong background in power systems, electrical engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Experience with PFC, harmonic analysis, AHF systems, or similar technologies
- Ability to interpret electrical specifications, load data, and technical documentation
- Understanding of power quality standards
- Experience producing technical reports and customer recommendations
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to support quotation/pricing activity
- Excellent communication skills with customers, engineers, and suppliers
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Full UK Driving Licence
