Our client is one of the largest independent engineering companies based in the UK. They offer a full service from design to commissioning and maintenance supported by their nationwide presence. Due to continued growth and expansion, our client is now looking to bulk out their engineering division to support current and future engineering projects in the UK. Working within an established engineering and projects team, you will play a pivotal role working on control panel systems carrying assembly and wiring before the products are tested and then sent out to customer sites. You will have a good electrical understanding with commercial or industrial electrical experience working on control panels.
What's involved for the Control Panel Wirer:
- Build, assemble and wire electrical and electronic control panels
- Wiring into PLCs
- Read and understand electrical wiring diagrams
- Working with motor control gear and variable speed drives (VSD)
- Work with hand tools, power tools and basic test equipment such as multi-meters
- Maintaining equipment in factory
What you'll need:
- Must have wiring and control panel experience
- Experience with variable speed drives or motor control gear
- Strong experience within industrial or commercial electrical engineering or a related field
- Ability to read and understand product schematics, assembly instructions, and electrical drawings
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
