Seeking UK-based experienced Software Developer to join a small established fast paced, dynamic, and forward-thinking GIS solutions provider. The opportunity to apply a broad spectrum of specialised software development skills to industry leading products across multiple platforms. The developer will be involved at all stages from resolving issues, creating new features in current products to producing completely bespoke solutions from scratch.
The successful Software Developer is likely to have a relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics or similar and will ideally have at least 2 years proven commercial experience. A history of some GIS development would go a long way.
We are seeking a skilled and passionate self-starter developer to join our fast-paced agile development environment. You will need a strong foundation in development and design, able to respond to change promptly and have a keen eye for detail. In addition to software development, you will be expected to perform other duties including customer support, configuring hardware, documentation and testing, along with other general office tasks as required within a small company. Position can be hybrid-remote with occasional in person time at our offices based in Okehampton, Devon EX20.
The Person
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. You will need to be able to confidently liaise directly with clients in a professional manner.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain software to company programming standards.
- Experience with the following Languages and Technologies will be required:
- C# .NET (Web and Mobile)
- Exposure to Xamarin / Maui
- Web technologies and services
- Azure services
- Databases including SQL Server, SQLite
- Experience of diagnosing and fixing issues
