STUDIO TRAFFIC MANAGER - GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY-LED BUSINESS

This is a great opportunity to join a growing global creative function within a large, internationally established business at an important point in its evolution.

The business is investing in its creative capability and bringing together a more connected, ambitious and agile studio model across multiple markets. There is already a talented group of creatives in place, and the opportunity now is to help create the structure, process and rhythm that allows that team to operate at its best. This is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys being the person who brings calm to complexity. Someone who can look across a busy studio, understand everything that's happening, spot the gaps before they become problems, and make sure the right people are working on the right things at the right time.

The creative workload is varied and fast-moving, covering social and digital content, campaigns, product and marketing activity, events, presentations, commercial materials and a high volume of day-to-day creative requests. You'll sit at the heart of that activity, working closely with creative leadership, designers, project teams and wider stakeholders to make sure the studio is operating efficiently and creatively.

What they need -

  • Someone who can bring order to complexity - you'll have an overview of what's happening across the studio, understand priorities and dependencies, and make sure work is moving through the right stages without things falling through the cracks
  • A natural organiser and problem solver, you'll be able to look at a busy pipeline and quickly see the puzzle: what's coming in, what's in progress, where the bottlenecks are, where capacity is stretched and where something needs attention
  • Someone who can create calm in a high-volume environment - the studio will be managing a significant volume of work across multiple creative disciplines and stakeholders. You'll bring structure, clarity and a calm head, particularly when priorities change or deadlines move
  • Someone who understands creative workflows - you'll know how creative teams work and what they need from a strong traffic or workflow process. You'll be comfortable balancing deadlines, resource, quality and stakeholder expectations without creating unnecessary bureaucracy
  • A studio traffic manager who's comfortable working across a complex organisation. You'll be coordinating activity across different teams, markets and stakeholders, often without having direct authority over the people involved. Clear communication, diplomacy and the ability to influence will be important

What you're great at -

  • Studio traffic and workflow management - you'll have experience managing the flow of creative work through a busy studio, agency or in-house creative environment, ideally across multiple disciplines and workstreams
  • Planning and prioritisation - you're highly organised and able to manage competing deadlines, shifting priorities and multiple stakeholders without losing sight of the bigger picture
  • Resource and capacity awareness - you'll have a strong understanding of who is doing what, where capacity exists and where potential gaps or bottlenecks are emerging, helping the studio make better decisions about workload and resource
  • Creative project coordination - you're comfortable working alongside designers, creatives, project managers and senior creative leadership, understanding enough about the creative process to anticipate what teams need and keep work moving
  • Systems and tooling - experience with workflow or project management platforms is important. Prior experience with complex workflow platforms would be valuable. More importantly, you'll be someone who can learn a new system quickly and help others get the most from it
  • Communication and stakeholder management - you'll be confident communicating with creative teams and senior stakeholders, managing expectations, flagging risks early and keeping everyone aligned on what's happening

What you'll get –

  • Manchester-based, with a hybrid working model expected to be around 2–3 days in the office, with the wider creative team distributed internationally
  • The opportunity to join and help shape a growing global creative function at an important point in its evolution.
  • A central role in creating the process, structure and ways of working that allow a busy creative studio to operate effectively.
