Senior Proposals Manager in London

I’m working with a construction business looking for a Senior Proposals Manager to lead its proposals function, drive bid strategy and ensure the successful delivery of compelling, high-quality tender submissions.

Location

This is based 5 days a week in the office, situated in South London.

Duties

• Own and manage the full bid lifecycle, from initial pursuit through to submission and post-bid review.
• Lead and develop the proposals team, coaching junior colleagues and improving processes.
• Develop bid strategies, undertake research and facilitate win/loss workshops.
• Chair bid kick-off meetings and coordinate contributions from wider project and management teams.
• Manage internal and external resources to enhance tender submissions through graphics and visualisations.
• Oversee the quality, accuracy and presentation of proposals, ensuring submissions meet client requirements and deadlines.
• Coordinate prequalification questionnaires, expressions of interest and tender interview documentation.
• Maintain project profiles, staff CVs and key company information for future bids.
• Support continuous improvement and ensure compliance with relevant quality, environmental and health and safety standards.

Skills and Experience

• Proven experience managing bids or proposals within the construction or pre-construction sector.
• Experience managing the full bid lifecycle and developing effective bid strategies.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, coach and develop a team.
• Excellent written communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience coordinating technical input and managing multiple deadlines.
• A strong eye for detail, with a focus on quality, accuracy and presentation.
