Our client is a highly influential membership organisation representing one of the UK's most recognised commercial districts. At a time of significant opportunity and change, they are seeking an exceptional Director of Corporate Affairs to lead their corporate affairs function, strengthen stakeholder relationships and enhance their influence across government, industry and the wider business community.
This is a high-profile executive leadership role for an experienced corporate affairs professional who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive and forming part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will shape organisational reputation, influence policy, lead strategic communications and ensure the organisation remains a trusted and respected voice on behalf of its members.
The Director of Corporate Affairs will provide strategic leadership across corporate affairs, public affairs, communications, stakeholder engagement and reputation management, ensuring these functions work together to deliver meaningful influence and long-term organisational success.
Role Highlights- Develop and deliver an integrated Corporate Affairs strategy aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives
- Advise the Chief Executive and Board on reputation, public policy, stakeholder engagement and emerging issues
- Lead public affairs activity, influencing government, policymakers, regulators and industry stakeholders
- Oversee corporate communications, media relations, member engagement and crisis communications
- Build and lead a high-performing Corporate Affairs Directorate, managing budgets, resources and external partners
- Significant senior leadership experience within corporate affairs, public affairs, communications or stakeholder engagement
- Experience in placemaking, real estate, not-for-profit, membership bodies will be advantageous
- A successful track record of shaping organisational reputation and delivering high-impact corporate affairs strategies
- Experience influencing public policy and building trusted relationships across government, business and industry
