I am looking for a Bid Manager to join an established service-led organisation due to continued growth and increased tender activity. This is a stand-alone, key role within the business, responsible for leading the full bid lifecycle across a range of public and private sector opportunities. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to develop winning submissions, improve bid processes and drive overall tender success.
Location
This is an on-site role, based in their Cambridge offices.
Duties
- Managing the end-to-end bid process from opportunity identification through to final submission and handover
- Producing high-quality written responses for SQ, PQQ, ITT and tender submissions
- Reviewing tender requirements and ensuring all submissions are fully compliant and submitted within deadlines
- Supporting development of bid strategy and coordinating internal contributors across multiple departments
- Managing clarification questions and communications throughout the tender process
- Assisting with commercial input, pricing submissions and bid governance
- Leading post-tender reviews and identifying areas for continuous improvement
- Maintaining bid collateral including case studies, templates and content libraries
- Monitoring tender portals and ensuring company registrations, accreditations and documentation remain up to date
- Supporting wider business development activity with written content and proposal materials where required
Key Requirements
- Strong experience managing public sector tenders and formal procurement processes
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to create compelling submission content
- Proven experience managing multiple deadlines within a fast-paced bid environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate input across wider teams
- Comfortable working independently and managing own workload
- Experience using bid software, tender portals and content management systems desirable
