Overview
Responsible for the flow of work through the Machining Department and completion of work to project deadline demands, including the procurement of the required tools and materials. This extends to the effectiveness, cohesion and day-to-day discipline of their team and cleanliness of their working area.
Feedback into the design and assembly departments is also required, in support of improving machining or build efficiency through optimisation of designs.
Your responsibilities include:
- Lead Teams: Ensure quality, cost, and delivery goals are met
- Meet Targets: Ensure daily and company production targets are achieved
Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:
- Minimum of 3 years of proven CNC Team Leader.
- Working within a bespoke automation environment.
- Skilled in setting, programming, and operating 3 axis machining centres.
- Conversant with Haas Machining Centres.
- Have a knowledge of Fanuc Controls
- Experience of programming using Openmind Hypermill or similar CAD CAM package
- Understanding of health and safety/housekeeping standards within an engineering/manufacturing environment.
- Background in machining small to medium-sized precision components for a range of industries including Aerospace, Automotive, Motorsport, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, or Medical sectors.
