The predicted salary is between 28800 - 48000 £ per year.
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: To obtain new sales leads, develop potential business and provide support to nurture our current customer base within the Global Operations department.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Proven sales track record within a Global Logistics environment to include freight forwarding.
- Ability to complete new business tenders and possess the IT ability to support this process.
- Knowledge to increase both our company profile and customer base through developing new client relationships and maintaining existing ones.
MAIN DUTIES:
- Generate sales leads via cold calling, networking, internet, sales lists and other proven methods, making the best use of leads generated through telesales.
- Make regular meetings/visits to potential prospects which may involve formal sales presentations (both online and in person).
- Obtain new and profitable business for the organisation.
- Attend and contribute to regular sales/business development meetings and work closely with the team.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
- Background in road freight/logistics.
- Excellent ability to communicate well both orally and in writing.
- Conscientious worker with good attention to detail.
- Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Adept ability to prioritise workload/leads.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Software Packages/Mandata (our transport management system) and associated sales software as appropriate.
- Excellent commercial judgement and financially astute.
- Hands-on approach to building lucrative business opportunities and identifying quality leads.
