The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As Sales Executive for the Automotive AfterMarket Division (AAD), you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. AAD remains one of the largest Divisions within the UK & Ireland subsidiary and is a ‘true’ market focused business. The external market is dynamic and changing which continues to offer and create exciting opportunities for 3M. We have an extremely strong brand and market presence in the collision repair industry and a track record of delivering sustained profitable growth with an impressive ability to commercialise new products rapidly. Within AAD we have an industry focused, passionate, knowledgeable and driven sales team who make a difference. We add value to our customers and stakeholders in the dynamic collision repair market due to our people and their application, process and industry knowledge, our innovative new products, the breadth of our portfolio, our brand and the channel partners we are aligned to.
Here, you will make an impact by:
- Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with all key accounts within the geographical area. Act as the primary point of contact for these accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Sales Growth: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow sales within the assigned market. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. Use this information to inform sales strategies and identify growth opportunities.
- Customer Support: Provide exceptional customer service and support to key accounts. Address any issues or concerns promptly and effectively, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure alignment and support for key account initiatives.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management. Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.
- Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with key accounts to ensure mutually beneficial agreements. Maintain a strong understanding of the company's products and services to effectively communicate value propositions.
- Training and Development: Stay up-to-date with industry developments and continuously improve product knowledge. Provide training and support to key accounts as needed to ensure they are well-informed about our offerings.
Your Skills and Expertise
- Business related degree preferable but not essential.
- Demonstrable experience in sales or account management, preferably within the collision repair industry.
- Experience in distribution sales management.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the UK collision repair market and industry trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Job Specifics:
- Location: Field based role.
- Territory: England M62 North.
- Travel expectations: may include up to 70% in the assigned territory.
- Working pattern: Full-Time.
- Target Job Grade: S3.
