The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Production Operator at 3M Bangor, Northern Ireland, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you’ll make an impact by:
- Being responsible for operating production equipment and machinery within the Bangor plant
- Operating production machinery in line with schedule requirements
- Ensuring full compliance with all company safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
- Ensuring production efficiency, reducing downtime and maintaining product quality
- Reporting required data on key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Working as part of a rotational shift crew to achieve production goals
- Maintaining defined housekeeping standards for work area
- Reporting machine running issues and breakdowns to minimise downtime
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:
- Previous experience in manufacturing/production operations
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technology
- Knowledge of EH&S (Environment, Health & Safety)
- Problem-solving, decision-making, and organisational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Additional knowledge / nice-to-have skills / preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Experience with ERP Process (preferably SAP) within a manufacturing environment
- FLT (Counterbalance/Reach) Licence
