Product Compliance Specialist (m/f/*)
The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Product Compliance Specialist based in Finland, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by:
Verifying our innovative products meet safety, compliance and environmental standards according to national requirements.
Completing self-initiated and assigned technical activities leading to regulatory compliance and address product responsibility issues concerning existing or new chemicals and articles for Finland (with the capability to support Sweden, Norway, and Denmark)
Maintaining product registrations like the Finnish Chemical database.
Managing Extended Producer Responsibility (packaging waste, WEEE and Battery waste) submissions
Collaborating with internal and external customers and within the EMEA Product Stewardship team to manage enquiries on regulatory aspects of 3M products. Example, providing SDSs, SVHC information, compositional data.
Translating phrases in Finnish for new Safety Data Sheet creation.
Supporting compliance improvement projects through development of new processes and systems.
Monitoring relevant emerging Finnish regulatory requirements and trends.
Participates on and may lead project teams.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet following minimum requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
Awareness of product safety and chemical regulations e.g. local Finnish product regulations, CE marking, REACH, CLP, Packaging Waste, SVHCs etc)
Language capabilities: Finnish and English both written and verbal is essential with Swedish written preferred
Additional knowledge / nice-to-have skills / preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Enjoys working with multiple IT systems, including SAP, PLM
Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and capable of dealing with short deadlines
Demonstrated communication skills; must be able to summarise and articulate technical information to diverse audiences both verbally and in writing
Self-driven with a “can do” attitude and growth mindset
Experience working with different cultures and cross functional teams
Problem solving skills with the ability to bring projects to a conclusion
