The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Director, Area Brand & Portfolio Europe, Middle East and Africa for our Consumer Business Group, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Serve as the Area Brand expert for Scotch™, Post‑it®, Scotch‑Brite®, Filtrete®, Command®, Nexcare™, Meguiar’s®, and Futuro™, guiding strategy to maximize growth and minimize liabilities while influencing global portfolio direction and implementing initiatives that meet customer needs.
The impact you will make:
- Define and customise the area portfolio strategy, converting it into clear priorities and growth execution plans.
- Lead the Area Marketing plan to ensure assigned brands are aligned to consumer and channel insights.
- Develop portfolio programs that support area sales, shopper marketing execution, and Point of Sales growth.
- Serve as the link between market needs and global teams, bringing forward insights from consumers, customers, competitors, and channels.
- Understand market trends and customer playbooks to guide portfolio development and NPI direction.
- Define consumer insight needs and manage budget allocation for brand priorities across countries and channels.
- Chair Area Sales & Operating Plan Portfolio and Demand Reviews, collaborating closely with global demand planning.
- Lead Area New Products Introduction, including product development, commercialization, marketing launch strategy and cross‑functional execution.
- Define and execute pricing strategies based on local dynamics and global pricing corridors.
- Manage weekly and monthly operating rhythms, including demand alignment, performance reviews, and commercial processes.
- Assure product compliance in line with the EMEA regulations.
- Lead the Area Portfolio Team.
Shared Responsibilities
- Partner with Global Segment Leadership to align area plans with global portfolio direction.
- Collaborate with Research & Development on new products introduction priorities.
- Work with Area Enterprise Supply Chain functions providing input on product value streams, unit cost improvement and demand planning.
- Support Country Shopper Marketing and Area Business Group Marketing in executing branding and consumer experience strategies.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:
- Proven ability to translate complex strategies into clear, actionable execution plans.
- Experience in Channel, Sales, or Portfolio Management.
- Experience in Marketing Management roles.
- Strong ability to influence and collaborate across functional teams at multiple levels.
- Demonstrated track record of driving results in dynamic, matrixed environments.
- Agile leadership style with the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs.
- Fluent in English language both verbal and written.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
Additional knowledge and preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Experience working across multiple geographies.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate data and insights into clear recommendations.
- Proven ability to influence without authority, navigate ambiguity, and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders.

- Master’s degree desirable.
Job specifics
- Location – Flexible location across the EMEA region.
- Travel expectations – May include up to 15% domestic/international.
- Relocation: Not authorized.
- This role has on-site working model, with the employee working at least four days a week in the relevant 3M office.
