Are you a reliable and physically fit HGV 2 Driver looking for a hands-on role with variety and responsibility? We are looking for a Removals HGV Class 2 Driver to join our client's team and play a key role in delivering excellent service to our clients' customers.
Must have previous experience as a removals driver or a role where you are loading/unloading goods on a regular basis.
About the Role
As a Removals HGV 2 Driver, you'll take full responsibility for the company vehicle, ensuring every load is transported safely and efficiently from collection to delivery. You'll also assist with packing, loading, and unloading, so a good level of physical fitness is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a commercial vehicle safely and reliably, taking responsibility for the vehicle and its load at all times.
- Carry out daily vehicle and safety checks, perform routine maintenance (oil, water, etc.), and report any defects.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, roadworthy, and compliant with Road Traffic Legislation and operating limits.
- Work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, Safe Systems at Work procedures, and Quality System policies (ISO9002).
- Accurately complete all required vehicle and delivery paperwork.
- Undertake regular Driver CPC training and actively support ongoing personal and team development.
- Recommend improvements to loading and unloading processes to the Operations Controller.
About You
- Hold a valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence and Driver CPC.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and customer service.
- Be physically fit and able to handle the demands of removals work.
- Have a positive, can-do attitude and a focus on teamwork.
