About the Role
Are you passionate about creating safe, clean, and welcoming outdoor spaces? We are looking for Grounds Maintenance Workers to join our clients dedicated team, supporting the upkeep of areas across the London borough. As part of our clients frontline service, you'll help maintain green spaces, pathways, play areas, and estate entrances, making a real difference in the lives of residents and contributing to community wellbeing and pride.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain lawns, hedges, flower beds, and communal gardens
- Regularly carry out litter picking and waste removal
- Keep pathways, entrances, and communal spaces clean and hazard-free
- Perform seasonal tasks such as leaf clearance, snow removal, and gritting
- Report fly-tipping, vandalism, or safety issues to the relevant teams
- Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment (e.g., mowers, strimmers, leaf blowers)
- Represent the client with a professional, respectful attitude toward residents
What We're Looking For
- Experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping
- Familiarity with health and safety procedures in public areas
- Confident in using and maintaining outdoor tools and machinery
- Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
- Basic horticultural knowledge
- Strong communication skills and a community-minded approach
- Full UK driving licence required; trailer licence highly desirable
Working Conditions
- Outdoor-based role across multiple council estates
- May include manual handling and use of protective gear
- Monday to Friday schedule (occasional flexibility may be required)
