Our independent storage client is looking to appoint a Facilities Assistant / Storage Assistant for their Birmingham (B33) branch. This position offers a great opportunity to join an established business, support day-to-day site operations, and help deliver an excellent customer experience.
As an Assistant, you will support sales and customer service, assist with site standards and basic upkeep, and help ensure the safe, secure running of the branch.
Storage Assistant duties include:
- Sales support and promoting storage solutions to new and existing customers
- Customer service, including handling enquiries, bookings, and general front-of-house support
- Administration, including updating systems, completing paperwork, and processing payments (where required)
- General housekeeping to ensure the site is clean, tidy, and safe indoors and out
- Assisting with minor repair and maintenance tasks (for example, basic painting, small fixes, and reporting/arranging larger repairs)
- Supporting the safe running of the site, including opening up, locking up, setting alarms, and following all site procedures
- Complying with all Health & Safety legislation and internal policies
