The Role
The Senior Sales Analyst plays a key role in supporting the Sales organisation through advanced analytical insight, client‑focused materials, and commercial enablement. Working closely with Sales, Product and clients, the role is responsible for translating complex data into actionable insights that drive client engagement, platform adoption and revenue growth. The individual will contribute to strategic initiatives, support client interactions, and help optimise sales effectiveness through data‑led decision making. This position is suited to an individual with at least 1 year of relevant experience who is looking to deepen their commercial and market expertise while taking on greater ownership and exposure to key stakeholders.
How You’ll Help Take Us There
- Deliver high‑quality analysis of client activity, market trends and platform performance to support sales strategy
- Produce client‑ready materials, including presentations, insights packs and data‑driven narratives for pitches and meetings
- Partner with Sales to support client engagement, including preparation for meetings, demos and follow‑ups
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at increasing platform adoption and expanding product usage across clients
- Perform structured data analysis to identify opportunities, trends and areas for growth
- Translate data into clear, compelling insights tailored to both internal and external audiences
- Support the tracking and reporting of sales performance metrics and KPIs
- Identify efficiency improvements and contribute to process optimisation within the Sales function
- Develop a strong understanding of MarketAxess products and workflows to support client queries and demonstrations
- Assist in onboarding and training clients on platform functionality where required
- Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders across Sales, Product and Client Services
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 1+ year of experience in an analytical, sales support or client‑facing role
- Strong understanding of financial markets, ideally with some exposure to fixed income
- Experience working with data to generate insights and support business decisions
- Degree (2:1 or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
- Strong analytical capability with attention to detail
- Ability to interpret and present data in a clear, concise and commercially relevant way
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proactive, self‑motivated and able to take ownership of deliverables
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Collaborative approach with a willingness to build relationships across teams
- Commercial mindset with an interest in sales and client engagement
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (including data manipulation and analysis)
- Strong PowerPoint skills, with the ability to produce client‑ready materials
- Familiarity with data tools and systems is advantageous
