This is an exciting opportunity to work in a cybersecurity start-up that is part of a larger tech group focusing on AI, cybersecurity and digital transformation. We are looking for someone with a journalistic edge: who is curious and wants to help find and tell the stories behind what we do. We are not looking for someone polished, but a recent school leaver, graduate or otherwise junior person with a strong sense of initiative, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in learning.

This role could be at an apprenticeship or graduate level depending on your background. It is for someone who is happy to ask questions, talk to people, and dig around until they find something worth sharing. You will help shape how we speak about ourselves publicly as we scale, and the opportunities are endless for your career growth. Being part of a startup team means you have a powerful opportunity for autonomy, learning, leadership and growth.

What you’ll do:

  • Write blog posts, short articles, social media posts and newsletters
  • Help put together press releases and announcements
  • Speak to team members to surface stories, updates, and insights
  • Keep a basic content calendar running and organised
  • Look out for industry news and developments we should engage with
  • Work with the leadership team to help drive our marketing growth strategy

What helps for this role:

  • You enjoy writing and can explain things clearly
  • You’re comfortable talking to people and asking questions
  • You’re interested in technology and how it’s changing things (no need to be an expert)
  • You can manage your own time and follow through on work
  • You pay attention to detail
  • You overflow with moxy
  • You have some examples of writing already - it could be a blog, social media posts, newsletters, anything that shows how you think and communicate

What you’ll get:

  • Close working time with the leadership and marketing team
  • Exposure to how a startup grows from the inside
  • The chance to take on more responsibility quickly if you want it
  • Room to shape the role as we expand

We’re looking for someone who wants to get stuck in, is reliable, and brings a bit of spark. If that sounds like you, please apply.
