We are currently recruiting for a Flexographic Printer to join a well-established label and packaging manufacturer. This role is ideal for an experienced printer looking to work with modern flexographic printing equipment in a fast-paced production environment.

You will be responsible for operating and maintaining flexographic printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials on substrates such as self-adhesive paper and film. The role involves setting up printing plates, mixing inks, monitoring print quality, and ensuring production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate 8-colour flexographic printing presses (BOBST M4, Mark Andy)
  • Mount printing plates and cylinders correctly
  • Prepare and mix inks to required colour specifications
  • Adjust machine settings including speed, pressure, and alignment to ensure print quality
  • Monitor print runs for colour accuracy, registration, and consistency
  • Inspect printed materials for defects and maintain quality standards
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and printing issues during production
  • Maintain production records and job documentation
  • Follow all health and safety regulations and company procedures
Requirements
  • Previous experience operating flexographic printing presses
  • Knowledge of printing processes, substrates, and inks
  • Ability to read job sheets and technical specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
