ROLE DETAILS

My client is a growing warehouse and distribution business focused on delivering efficient storage, stock management, and fulfilment services. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations and lead the warehouse team. This is a hands-on management role focused on ensuring stock accuracy, operational efficiency, and the smooth flow of goods throughout the facility. As a full-time Warehouse Manager, you will play a key role in driving warehouse performance, maintaining operational standards, and ensuring customer requirements are met. You will be responsible for managing warehouse staff, monitoring productivity, and supporting the ongoing development of warehouse processes. The successful candidate will be a proactive leader with strong organisational skills and a proven track record of managing warehouse operations within a fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Warehouse Operations: Manage the day-to-day operation of the warehouse and warehouse team. Oversee goods-in, goods-out, storage, and dispatch activities. Ensure stock is handled, stored, and distributed efficiently.
  • Team Management: Lead, support, and develop warehouse personnel. Monitor team performance and productivity levels. Provide training and guidance to maintain operational standards.
  • Stock & Inventory Control: Maintain accurate stock records and inventory control processes. Investigate stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions. Ensure stock movements are recorded accurately.
  • Health & Safety: Promote and maintain a safe working environment. Ensure all health & safety procedures and company policies are followed. Monitor warehouse housekeeping standards at all times.
  • Operational Performance: Coordinate warehouse resources to meet business demands. Identify and resolve operational issues efficiently. Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and service delivery.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

  • Previous Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Supervisor experience.
  • Experience working within a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
  • Experience leading and developing warehouse teams.
  • Knowledge of health & safety procedures within a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively within a fast-paced operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, or similar leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and decision-making skills.
  • Competent IT and reporting skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple operational demands.
