Label Finishing Operator / Rewind Operator
About the Company
We are currently recruiting for a Label Finishing Operator / Rewind Operator to join a well-established label and packaging manufacturer. This role is ideal for an experienced finishing operator looking to work with modern label finishing and rewinding equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
About the Role
You will be responsible for operating and maintaining label finishing and rewinding equipment to inspect, slit, rewind and prepare printed labels for customer delivery. The role involves setting up machine parameters, monitoring product quality, removing defective labels, and ensuring production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Operate label finishing and rewinding machinery
Inspect printed labels for defects, colour variation, misprints and damage
Slit and rewind label rolls to customer-specified widths and quantities
Remove defective labels during inspection
Label and package finished reels correctly for dispatch
Set machine parameters including tension, speed and alignment
Monitor production runs to maintain quality and consistency
Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning
Maintain production records and job documentation
Follow all health and safety regulations and company procedures
Requirements
Previous experience operating label finishing or rewinding machinery
Knowledge of rewinding, slitting and label inspection processes
Ability to read job sheets and production specifications
Strong attention to detail and quality control
Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under production deadlines
Team player with good communication skills
