About the Team
Join the EMEA Business Development Team, responsible for promoting the Medidata portfolio directly to our customers. Reporting to the Business Development Management team, you will help identify new potential customers or unexplored markets in a focused portfolio set. Working with a diverse team of Demand Marketing, Account Executives, and Product Specialists to create new pipeline and qualify marketing-generated pipeline to drive increases in business for Medidata Solutions.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate client demand exists with a business development strategy to build the pipeline of business within our UK and European speaking sales territories.
- Implement a strong BANT evaluation plan with clear strategies to effectively qualify opportunities.
- Build relationships with new and existing contacts in your territory to generate demand for specific Medidata portfolios, researching prospects’ core challenges.
- Maintain a solid engagement-to-delivery ratio to grow a robust pipeline, understanding what is needed to overachieve on quota.
- Coordinate qualified opportunity handoff from the Business Development team to Account Managers and product specialists.
- Take ownership of opportunity management, identifying risks, and backing decisions with data-driven insights.
- Update activities in Salesforce and Outreach for accurate reporting.
- Participate in customer-facing events and marketing campaigns to increase brand and product awareness when required.
- Work through Medidata NDA agreements with internal and prospect/customer legal teams to ensure completion.

Additional Information
Base pay is part of the Total Rewards package, which may include commissions and bonuses. Medidata offers comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, a generous pension, and over 25 paid holidays per year.
