About The Role
3Degrees is a leading B Corp in the sustainability sector, on a mission to empower organizations to transition towards a net‑zero future. We achieve this by offering a comprehensive suite of sustainability solutions, including helping clients source renewable energy, investing in carbon avoidance projects, and implementing decarbonisation strategies. Consultants are vital contributors on the Power Markets team, the renewable energy consulting group within 3Degrees. This position conducts research and analysis to support the delivery of client work across Europe under the direction of senior‑level team members and the Manager, Europe. 3Degrees' consulting engagements focus on developing and implementing renewable energy and carbon reduction solutions for large organisations. Our work aims to reduce emissions of energy supplies, both electricity and thermal, and enable growing organisations to adopt these solutions within robust sustainability programmes. This is a full‑time position reporting to our Manager, Power Markets. We prefer a hybrid work arrangement for those near our Norway or Netherlands offices, but we are also open to hiring remotely in Italy, Spain, the UK, and Hungary. Therefore pre‑existing right‑to‑work status or full work visa for the locations listed above is a prerequisite in order to be considered for this position. 3Degrees does not provide relocation assistance for this position.
What You’ll Do

- Lead the practical execution of integrating quarterly market forecast curves purchased from external suppliers into internal toolkits to ensure data setups are client‑ready.
- Maintain, update, and improve our regional market intelligence dashboards used to gather pricing and complex energy market data, converting technical datasets into highly polished Tableau visual representations.
- Conduct independent research using your ingenuity and curiosity to formulate appropriate solutions when faced with incomplete information.
- Delve into country‑level European energy market developments, standards documentation, regional regulatory proceedings, and changing policy landscapes.
- Look beyond basic number‑crunching to evaluate, synthesize, and explain the underlying market drivers behind how European energy markets are evolving.
- Actively support long‑term strategic efficiency goals by identifying manual workflows and helping automate processes to bring analysis directly into our Meridian platform.
- Implement standard error‑checking processes to maintain high‑quality project delivery.
- Autonomously manage your own day‑to‑day workload, accurately estimating delivery timelines to minimise back‑and‑forth revisions with managers.
