About the Role
- To ensure the site, buildings and grounds are maintained and are tidy in appearance and provide a safe and welcoming environment for pupils and staff.
- Undertake general repairs and maintenance around the establishment including plastering, decorating, repairs on furnishings and buildings, including carpentry and plumbing to ensure a safe environment is maintained.
- Arrange emergency repairs in liaison with the Headteacher and Business Manager, obtain quotes from approved contractors ensuring work is completed within the appropriate timescale.
- Undertake grounds maintenance duties, e.g. grass cutting, hedge trimming, shrub pruning and planting, weeding & clearance of leaves.
- Storing and maintaining resources such as cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Act as a key holder and control site keys and routine and non-routine opening.
