Position: Sr. Estimator
Salary: £80,000 - £100k+
Location: Central London
3D Personnel's client are searching for an experienced Estimator to join their award winning Tier 1 Irish Main Contractor who are based in London . The ideal candidate will ensure the delivery of accurate cost estimates for the large sale projects undertook by the company. This role would suit an estimator with civils or mechanical experience.
Roles / Responsibilities:
- Manage incoming tender documents and provide team with relevant information.
- Send out enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers, clearly outlining scope, responsibilities, and any specific requirements.
- Follow up on outstanding quotes and keep the enquiry tracker updated throughout the tender process.
- Work closely with the team to raise and log any tender queries or RFIs that need clarification.
- Identify gaps or missing information in tender packages and compile notes, clarifications, and estimator comments to support pricing.
- Assist in building out the project’s risk register and opportunity log.
- Prepare and maintain a value engineering list with viable cost-saving or alternative options.
- Analyse subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitiveness and compliance with the spec.
- Prepare cost summaries for internal review, clearly showing net costs, risks, and commercial opportunities.
- Pull together final tender documents, including completed forms, bills of quantities, and other commercial deliverables for submission.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in relevant field (Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Relevant Engineering degree etc.)
- 6+ years experience in a similar role
- Strong computer and IT skills
- Attention to detail
