Responsibilities include overseeing delivery across the full project lifecycle, from feasibility studies to handover, and leading large, complex health projects and programmes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement project plans for projects or programmes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Lead and mentor the project or programme team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Identify, assess, and manage risks and issues within projects, developing effective mitigation and contingency strategies.
- Ensure projects or programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, using relevant project management methodologies and standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with project or programme stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and engagement.
- Monitor and report on the progress and outcomes of projects or programmes, using appropriate metrics and indicators.
- Evaluate the impact and benefits of projects or programmes, using evidence-based methods and tools.
- Post-graduate level professional qualification in project management (must be internationally recognised).
- Degree in a relevant field (preferable).
- Extensive experience in Health projects, such as hospitals, clinics, or research facilities.
- Strong contract administration skills, especially with NEC contracts.
- Commercially astute, with the ability to manage large budgets and resources.
- Knowledge of the UK Department of Health and Social Care’s management systems and tools.
