Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are now hiring across three key positions within their Mechanical Engineering team. Current Opportunities

  • Mechanical Design Manager

    A senior leadership position overseeing the Mechanical Design function, managing project delivery, team performance, design standards, and collaboration across Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project Management.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Leading and coordinating the Mechanical Design team
    • Overseeing mechanical design output for live engineering projects
    • Managing design reviews, drawing releases, and BOM approvals
    • Supporting process improvement and design standardisation
    • Acting as the technical escalation point across departments

    Ideal background:

    • Strong mechanical design experience within manufacturing or engineering
    • Experience with Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D CAD software
    • Leadership or team management capability
    • Experience within switchgear, enclosures, sheet metal, or power distribution environments advantageous
  • Mechanical Design Engineer

    A hands-on design role focused on producing accurate, manufacturable mechanical designs for low-voltage switchgear and related engineering projects.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Producing 3D models and manufacturing drawings
    • Designing sheet metal components, frames, supports, and assemblies
    • Creating BOMs and supporting drawing release processes
    • Working closely with Manufacturing and Project teams
    • Supporting continuous improvement and standardisation initiatives

    Ideal background:

    • Mechanical design experience within engineering/manufacturing
    • Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor or similar CAD systems
    • Experience with fabrication, sheet metal, and manufacturing drawings
    • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Mechanical Design Technician

    A technical support role assisting the wider design function through CAD updates, drawing management, BOM maintenance, and engineering documentation control.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Updating 3D models and manufacturing drawings
    • Managing BOMs and drawing revisions
    • Supporting drawing release to manufacturing
    • Maintaining CAD standards and file management systems
    • Assisting with design amendments and technical documentation

    Ideal background:

    • Experience using Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D CAD software
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
