Job Description: Contracts Manager Location: Bristol On behalf of my client, I am actively recruiting for a Contracts Manager to work on an ongoing project in Bristol. My Client is a multidisciplinary construction company working as Main Contractor, delivering an abundance of high end projects across Ireland and the UK. The Project is running for a minimum of five years, working on multi million pound Office Buildings. The Contracts Manager has overall responsibility for the co-ordination, management and delivery of assigned projects, ensuring they are completed profitably, safely, on time and to an acceptable standard whilst maintaining and promoting strong client relationships. They will ensure the most effective and efficient utilisation of people and resources required for the duration of the project. Duties and responsibilities Ensure assigned projects are managed and delivered on time, to a high-quality standard and within budget. Liaise with Project Director to ensure all sites are adequately resourced. Develop Construction Programmes and methodology with the assistance of the Contracts Planner and communicate to site management. Appoint a temporary works co-ordinator on each project. Produce Project Procurement Schedules. Ensure timely placement of sub-contract orders. Ensure issue and approval of Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan prior to the commencement of work. Administer the project in accordance with contractual conditions, highlighting any 106 clauses to all relevant stakeholders. Proactively liaise with Site Management to ensure adequate labour and sub-contractor resource is provided and maintained on site that will enable completion on time and to the clients required standards utilising the approved agency list The Person 5 years experience of planning, directing and co-ordination of projects 3 years experience of successfully managing and co-ordinating teams on a large scale as well as a team of multiple disciplines Proven track record of negotiating and monitoring sub-contractors Experience in carrying out Health and Safety Assessments/Inspections Management of client expectations Preparing and presenting reports to Senior Management and Clients Please note those travelling from Ireland will get accommodation / flights / package. Those local to Bristol will be granted an attractive salary.
